- Overview: The Student Athletics Event Staff and Athletics Maintenance role is crucial to the smooth operation of athletic events and the maintenance of athletic facilities at TCNJ. This position involves a combination of event management and facility upkeep responsibilities to ensure a positive experience for athletes, coaches, and spectators.

- Duties: Assist with the setup, operation, and breakdown of athletic events, including but not limited to games, meets, and tournaments. Ensure that all event areas (fields, courts, tracks, etc.) are properly prepared and safe for competition. Provide support to visiting teams and officials, including guiding them to appropriate facilities and providing necessary information. Monitor crowd control and ensure the safety and comfort of spectators.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of athletic facilities, including gyms, locker rooms, fields, and courts. Assist in the setup and teardown of athletic equipment for practices and events. Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and report any damage or maintenance needs. Assist on-campus event held in/on athletic facilities Assist athletic coaches/athletes with daily/weekly needs Learning Objectives: Gain valuable experience in event management and facility operations. Opportunity to work closely with the athletics department and support TCNJ’s athletic programs. Develop transferable skills in communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. Required Qualifications: Enrolled full-time as an undergraduate student at TCNJ

Knowledge of various sports and athletic event operations. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to varying weather conditions. The role requires physical activity, including standing, walking, lifting, and carrying equipment.
