Ensure the safety and security of patrons at the Aquatics Center by enforcing policies and performing rescues. Maintain the sanitary appearance of the facility and attend all required in-service training programs.
USE BULLETS 1) Enforce all the Aquatic Center policies, rules and regulations. 2) Rescue and resuscitate any victim as needed. 3) Maintain the Aquatic Center's sanitary appearance. 4) Work any scheduled assignments including a minimum number of break and special event hours 5) Attend all in-service training programs. 6) Be aware of swim center programs and schedule changes. Learning Objectives: 1) How to handle life threatening situations 2) How to calm down individuals 3) When employed in shift and safety professions how important it is to be punctual and responsible. 4) Must complete TCNJ Safe Colleges Training and Follow all campus protocals Required Qualifications: USE BULLETS Must have current certifications through May 2026 in LGT/First Aid/CPR/AED. Preferred certifications in Preventing Disease Transmission & Oxygen Administration. Must pass Lifeguard tryouts to be hired - tryout will include 1) Timed 50 yard swim 2)Timed 200 yard swim 3) Three mock rescue/AED skills tests. Bring swim suit, towel (goggles allowed during swims) and copies of current certifications and class schedule. An email will be sent the weekend prior of tryouts confirming your application. Facility is open from 5 AM to 11 PM Mon-Fri and 6:30 AM - 8:30 Sat-Sun PM during the academic year. Must be able to work weekends.
