The PE Teacher is responsible for developing and implementing engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards while maintaining a positive learning environment. They must assess student progress, communicate regularly with parents, and collaborate with staff to ensure student success.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree and a California teaching credential or the ability to obtain one. Preferred qualifications include one or more years of experience working with youth and previous experience in charter schools.

POSITION We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our instructional team as a PE Teacher. Requirements: Essential duties and responsibilities
Maintain open and professional communication with students, parents, and school staff. Provide timely and informative feedback to students on their work. Conduct regular parent-teacher calls and conferences to discuss student progress and address both, positive student behavior and potential concerns. Utilize effective communication channels, such as ParentSquare messages, to keep parents and families informed about classroom activities and student progress. Communicate effectively with colleagues to share information, resources, and best practices. Communicate professionally with administrators, network staff, and other stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution. California teaching credential or ability and willingness to obtain a California teaching permit/credential if not already credentialed. 1+ years of experience working at school sites or experience working with children/youth, preferred. Strong classroom management skills and ability to build rapport with students. Demonstrated mastery of subject matter. Ability to follow established routines and procedures. Previous experience in charter schools, preferred. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard. Bending at the waist, kneeling, and/or crouching to file materials. Ability to access and navigate various facilities within the organization. Occasional lifting of objects up to twenty pounds. Compensation The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $96,500. Salary is commensurate with experience, education, and expertise. A competitive benefits package is also offered.
