  • In this role, you will support the School of Public Health Office of Academic Affairs and Student Services through comprehensive academic advising, student support, and program coordination.
  • This position works closely with students, faculty, and staff to ensure student success, retention, and timely progression toward degree completion.
  • An ideal candidate should have prior experience in academic advising or similar work, as well as experience working with students.

Position Summary

Provides advising information to students throughout the academic year; responsible for coordinating the advising process with the divisions and regional campuses, and develops advising materials and resources. Position Key Accountabilities: Provides advising information to students throughout the academic year. Provides support to students during the registration process. Explores various major and career options. Advises and counsels students for course selection/registration and develops student degree plans. Counsels students on academic policies and procedures. Conducts individual and group advising sessions. Coordinates the advising process with the divisions and regional campuses, and develops advising materials and resources. Performs other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills

  • Prior experience working with students in higher education setting, highly preferred.
  • Minimum
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field with three (3) years of related experience preferred. Master's Degree in related field with one (1) year of related experience preferred.

  • Experience: Years of experience varies based on education level required. Experience in advising or Student Affairs in a University setting preferred.
