Job description

  • A student tutor in the Physician Assistant program is a PA student in their clinical year who supports didactic year PA students in mastering course material through individual, small-group, and large-group tutoring.
  • Responsibilities include reinforcing key concepts in clinical medicine, clarifying difficult concepts, and promoting effective studying strategies.
  • The tutor is selected by faculty, maintains professionalism and confidentiality, and serves as a peer resource to enhance learning.
  • The tutor reports on their tutoring session to a designated PA faculty member.
  • All current student employees should notify their other manager(s) if you work multiple jobs on campus at the same time.
  • Additionally, students may not work more than 20 hours per week (combined between all campus jobs) during the academic year.
  • Students may not exceed 980 work hours per calendar year.
  • Student jobs do not automatically roll over to the next academic year or summer.
