  • Category: EducationShady Side Academy’s Senior School is seeking a full-time Math Teacher for the 2026-27 academic year. The Math Teacher will instruct students in grades 9-12 through a variety of math classes ranging from Algebra I to post AP Calculus courses. The Math Teacher would join several other colleagues as part of the mathematics department. A successful Math Teacher engages students in meaningful learning experiences that meet their needs and gives them the confidence to take risks. Primary Responsibilities Keeps students at the center of their decision-making and practice Teach 4 or 5 sections of mathematics Collaborates with colleagues and supports endeavors that benefit the larger community Cultivates positive partnerships with parents through consistent and transparent communication about their child’s progress Collaborates in creating innovative curricula, pedagogy, and assessment Participates in other assigned duties as determined by the Head of Senior School, including advisory and 5th duties QualificationsA bachelor’s degree in mathematics or related field is required and a master’s degree in math or related field is strongly preferred.
