Goldfish Swim School is seeking qualified applications for a Swim Instructor in Stamford, CT.
The Swim Instructor is responsible for instructing students on water safety and proper swim techniques based on thorough knowledge of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
Provides one-on-one swim instruction with students based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum. Evaluates student progress and submits daily reports. Interacts with parents/guardians on the activities and development of students’ swim skills. Acts as a GSS “ambassador” to ensure parent satisfaction. Maintains and ensures proper storage of all pool equipment. Notifies management of maintenance, cleanliness and damage issues as needed. Promotes safety rules and regulations and follows proper accident reporting procedures. Attend mandatory workshops and in-service training outside of regular working hours. Fulfills other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Employer.
Lifeguard certification, must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment. Experience working as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor, camp counselor and/or childcare provider.
Swim instructors spend the majority of their working time in the pool with students. While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.
