Job description

Position Overview

Tutor Doctor is seeking an engaging, energetic tutor to work with a rising Kindergarten student beginning May 27 at Oxford Public Library. Sessions will focus on Kindergarten readiness through fun, play-based learning activities that build confidence and foundational academic skills.

The student enjoys sports, Spiderman, Avengers, tractors, bikes, and outdoor activities, so we are looking for a tutor who can incorporate movement, creativity, and interactive learning into sessions.

Schedule • Tuesdays at 9

  • 00 AM
  • Wednesdays at 10:00 AM
  • Twice weekly through August
  • Pay
  • $22/hour

Responsibilities

  • Build Kindergarten readiness skills including:
  • Letter recognition
  • Number recognition
  • Early literacy and phonics
  • Fine motor and foundational learning skills
  • Create engaging, hands-on lessons tailored to the student’s interests
  • Maintain a positive, encouraging learning environment
  • Communicate professionally with Tutor Doctor and the family regarding progress and scheduling

Qualifications

  • Experience working with young children preferred
  • Background in education, early childhood, tutoring, childcare, or related field
  • Patient, energetic, and creative teaching style
  • Reliable transportation and punctuality required
  • Ability to make learning fun and interactive
