- Job Summary Renaissance Academy is recruiting for a full-time Kindergarten Assistant for the 2026-2027 academic year.
- The Kindergarten Assistant provide support to the lead teacher helping to set up tasks and implement instructional processes.
- Must be motivated and committed to high expectations and dedicated to maintaining a safe and orderly learning environment.
- Position Overview This job involves preparing activities for the day under the instruction of the lead teacher, supervising the children under their care, and ensuring the classroom stays organized.
- Working one-on-one with students to help them understand and apply principles taught by the classroom teacher.
- Circulating around the classroom while students are completing assignments and assisting students who are struggling with their work.
- Including organizing classroom materials to setting up equipment that teachers will use to carry out lessons.

Duties and Responsibilities
Assist classroom teacher in performing specific duties as assigned or undertaking specialized tasks. Assist teachers with lesson preparation by getting materials ready and setting up equipment. Ensure that students have all materials necessary for class activities Assist in providing individual and small-group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of pupils' intellectual abilities Collaborate with lead teachers to recognize issues students are facing and recommend solutions Maintain detailed records of students' progress on instructional or behavioral goals Help lead teacher create lesson plans Creates a classroom that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students Document student progress and communicate with parents to keep them informed Oversee students during non-classroom times including in-between classes, during lunch, and on field excursions Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities Operate equipment including computers, printers, photocopiers, and laminators Comply with state, school, and class rules and regulations. Maintains a professional appearance as an example to students Perform required administrative duties including attending staff meetings, training, and parent conferences. Ensure the classroom environment is safe and clean Completes other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelors Degree PA Teaching Certification in the subject area(Preferred) Knowledge of child development and the latest education theories and practices Creative and artistic teaching abilities Patience and flexibility Strong communication skills Keep abreast with the latest trends and best practices
