Before & After School Program Leaders (All Levels!) YMCA of Southwest Florida | Multiple Elementary School Locations We’re growing—and we want YOU to grow with us! This August, the YMCA of Southwest Florida is expanding our Before & After School Care program into 4 new elementary schools, and we’re building an incredible team to bring energy, creativity, and leadership to our sites. What You’ll Do Every day, you’ll help create a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment where kids can learn, grow, and thrive.Depending on your experience, your role may include: Working Directly with Kids Lead fun, age-appropriate activities like games, crafts, sports, and enrichment Build meaningful relationships with students and families Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development Ensure a safe and inclusive environment at all times Help create structure, routines, and a positive group dynamic Program Leadership & Site Support (for experienced candidates) Help oversee daily site operations and program flow Support or lead staff, ensuring activities are organized and engaging Communicate with families and school partners Assist with planning special events, spirit days, and family engagement opportunities Ensure program quality, safety standards, and licensing compliance Who We’re Looking For We’re looking for people who are: Energetic, positive, and passionate about working with kids Dependable and team-oriented Strong communicators who can connect with children and families Creative and ready to jump into activities and play Organized and able to manage responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Experience & Qualifications Must be 18+ years old (21+ for higher-level leadership responsibilities) Experience working with children preferred (school, camp, childcare, sports, etc.) Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus (for advanced roles) Ability to pass background screening and meet YMCA/DCF requirements CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain) Schedule Morning shifts (Before School) Afternoon shifts (After School) Flexible part-time schedules available Grow With Us This isn’t just a job—it’s a pathway.
