Job description

Starting Pay Range $3,211.53 - $3,721.15 - Bi-Weekly Depending on experience

Job Description

  • Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • ● Assess the health and developmental status of pupils as part of their special education evaluation ● Interpret the health and developmental assessments to parents, teachers, administrators, and other professionals directly concerned with the pupil ● Provide a written report of health and medical findings ● Provide pupils, parents and others with information on community resources

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Required: ● Ability to organize and present ideas effectively in oral and written form. ● Ability to interact respectfully with youths and others ● Flexibility in scheduling ● Ability to work independently and effectively with multiple individuals and at several sites ● Willingness to travel to various school locations ● Ability to make skillful decisions. ● Ability to work under pressure and meet IEP report timelines.

Requirements

● Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. ● A valid Registered Nurse License in California. ● Current Certification in CPR. ● Must possess a credential with a School Nurse authorization OR be eligible for a School Nurse service credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. ● A valid Audiometry certification *The specific statements shown in each section of this description are not intended to be all inclusive. Since 2012, PSE has supported California communities by striving to help districts and students meet their goals of: Improving student matriculation, test results, and graduation rates Increasing inclusion and social confidence Ensuring compliance to avoid costly fines or legal action Preserving vital district resources by leveraging PSE's wide range of staff, systems, and services
