Prepare student and teacher schedules and process all schedule changes timely Track high schools students’ progress towards graduation Personal counseling and discipleship Maintaining and updating student records including transcripts Academic advising and assisting students with coordinating remedial or accelerated studies Coordinating support services such as tutoring Advising and assisting with alternative educational programs including summer school, Early Colleges, etc. Post-secondary educational and life planning; career exploration and Life Calling Assisting students with the college application process to include application completion and financial aid Plan and execute College Fair and coordinate with college reps for school visits Manage dual high school / college credit program Knowledge of and assist with prep of various testing to include ACT, SAT, Aspire and PSAT Coordinate with principal to acknowledge student awards and special distinctions, to include end of year awards event Assist with assimilating new and transfer students Consult with teachers on students' behalf Commits and fully supports the missional and organizational standards including our Core Values, Mission Statement and Doctrinal Statement Supports faculty and administration through student intervention, assessing risk of harm, and navigating critical situations.
Additional Qualifications, Skills and Responsibilities Evidence of spiritual maturity and strong grasp of Christian education; ability to demonstrate true biblical integration into interactions with students, families and school guests Through effective communication, build healthy, effective relationships with students and families to support and enforce the biblical, whole-child educational experience Understanding of educational curriculum and ability to make course recommendations based on individual student goals Participation in curriculum and staff development training Ability to learn technology to update department website information Works well with other teachers, support staff and administrators Strong problem solving skills and willingness to be an independent learner as needed.
