- As a Clinician on the School-Based Behavioral Health Team (SBBHT) at Astor Services, you will play a critical role in delivering mental health services within school settings.
- Your day will start with preparing for individual and group therapy sessions at the school.
- You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions tailored to each student's needs.
- Throughout the day, you will collaborate with teachers, school counselors, and parents to ensure each student's well-being.
- Regular documentation and participation in team meetings will also be key components of your daily routine.
- This position closely follows a school schedule.
Job Responsibilities
· Conduct assessments to identify students' mental health needs and strengths. · Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. · Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions within the school setting. · Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to support students' mental health. · Collaborate with teachers, school counselors, and parents to create supportive environments. · Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. · Participate in regular team meetings and supervision sessions. · Engage with community resources to support students and families. · Contribute to school-wide initiatives that promote mental health and well-being.

Requirements
You must have: · Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field. · Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in New York state – LMSW (or Limited Permit), LCSW, or LMHC. · Experience working with children and adolescents in a mental health setting. · Strong understanding of child development and school-based interventions.
