Overview

  • Ascend Rehab Services is hiring an experienced and passionate Early Interventionist / Infant Development Specialist (IDS) to join our team in Antioch, CA. This position is based in a pediatric outpatient clinic and preschool setting—not home-based—and focuses on supporting toddlers ages 18 to 36 months with developmental delays. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (SLPs, OTs, IDSs) to provide services that promote developmental milestones through direct instruction and caregiver coaching.   • Responsibilities: Provide direct instruction to toddlers in a clinic/preschool setting Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities Conduct developmental assessments and write reports Coach caregivers during sessions to support carryover of skills Collaborate with other specialists and participate in team meetings Contribute to IFSP goals and documentation

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in early intervention (ages 0–3) Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related field (Master’s a plus) Strong knowledge of typical and atypical development Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Spanish-speaking is a plus Clinic or preschool experience strongly preferred
