Afternoon Teacher – Closing Shift Support

The Learning Experience – Ashburn is seeking a dependable Afternoon Teacher to support classrooms during afternoon routines and end-of-day transitions. This role helps maintain a safe, positive environment for children and families during pickup hours.

This is a great opportunity for candidates seeking a flexible afternoon schedule, with the possibility of additional hours during the summer months.

Key Responsibilities

Support classrooms serving infants through preschool-aged children Assist with afternoon activities, transitions, and dismissal routines Help maintain classroom organization and cleanliness Provide ratio coverage as needed across classrooms Communicate professionally with families during pickup Follow all Virginia licensing and safety requirements

Qualifications

Prior childcare experience preferred Reliable and team-oriented approach Comfortable supporting multiple age groups Must meet Virginia childcare licensing requirements
