• A key focus of this position is to help students get degree-related internships in their junior-year summer and high-paying, degree-related jobs on graduation.
• Secondarily, the position supports establishing, maintaining, and strengthening relationships with community and industry partners.
• Essential knowledge includes career counseling theory and job search methodology; ability to create, develop, and conduct career education programs focused on technical degree programs; ability to develop strategic alliances with the academic and employment community; an understanding of labor market trends and the legal and ethical issues regarding advising, student records, and employment are critical to success in the position.
• Written and verbal communication skills, active listening, ability to multitask, and work in a team setting are also required.
• This role demands a deep understanding of the tech industry and job market, and a passion for helping students overcome academic and professional challenges so that they can be successful on graduation.

Opened in 2025 and powered by a University of South Florida record $40 million gift from Arnie and Lauren Bellini, USF’s Bellini College of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Computing is the first in Florida, and among the first in the nation, to unify AI, cybersecurity, and computing within a single college.
