- Function: The primary function of the Dual Enrollment Pathways Liaison is to support and expand dual enrollment opportunities in Allied Health, Education, and General Education through strategic outreach, advising, and coordination. The role involves developing and implementing targeted recruitment initiatives, advising high school students on academic pathways, and serving as the main liaison between the college and partner high schools in Chester, Pike, and Wayne counties. This position also ensures effective program coordination by maintaining accurate records, supporting grant reporting, and facilitating continuous improvement through stakeholder feedback and collaboration. *This is a temporary grant funded position. Employment is contingent upon continued funding.
Responsibilities
Outreach and Recruitment: (a) Develop and implement targeted outreach strategies to promote dual enrollment opportunities in Allied Health, Education, and General Education to high school students, families, and counselors; (b) Coordinate and participate in high school visits, college fairs, information sessions, and other recruitment events; and (c) collaborate with K-12 partners to identify and recruit students aligned with academic and career pathway programs. Student Advising and Support: (a) Provide individualized advising to prospective and current dual enrollment students on course selection, degree pathways, and transfer opportunities; (b) support students through the application, registration, and onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition into college coursework; and (c) monitor student progress and engagement, providing proactive outreach and referrals to academic support services as needed. High School Coordination: (a) Serve as the primary point of contact between the college and assigned partner high schools in the Chester, Pike, and Wayne County areas; build and maintain strong relationships with high school counselors, administrators, and teachers to facilitate communication and collaboration; and (c) provide training and updates to high school partners on dual enrollment procedures, policies, and pathway options. Program Coordination and Reporting: (a) Assist in the development and maintenance of pathway maps and advising tools for dual enrollment students; (b) maintain accurate records of student interactions, enrollments, and outcomes for grant reporting and assessment purposes; and (c) gather feedback from students and high school partners to inform continuous improvement of dual enrollment processes and services. Organizational Relationships: (1) Responsible to the Dean, School of Education & Academic Foundations for the satisfactory performance of assigned responsibilities. (2) Works very closely with the leadership of the partner high schools. (3) Works with the administrative and support staff in the development and delivery of courses, programs, and services. (4) Relates role to missions and goals of the College and the partner school districts. Performance Standards: Performance in this position is considered satisfactory when: (1) mutually agreed upon objectives have been attained within a specific time frame; (2) responsibilities of the position have been carried out at a level consistent with performance objectives; (3) effective cooperative relationships exist with the other members of the administrative teams at the college and the partner district.
Qualifications
(1) Education: (a) attainment of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) approved Institutional Accreditor preferably in education, communication, psychology, social work, or a related field; master’s degree preferred; (2) Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: (a) excellent communication skills both oral and written; (b) ability to relate to youth, parents, staff, educators and the community in general; (c) able to organize and work effectively with groups; (d) work effectively with diverse populations including students, faculty, administrators and community groups; (e) knowledge of dual enrollment, early college programs, academic pathways, and transfer planning; (f) excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and school personnel; (g) Effective meeting facilitation and data driven decision making; (h) ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently and collaboratively across departments and institutions; (j) strong ability to problem solve and work as part of a team; and (k) comfort presenting to large and small groups, both in person and virtually. (3) Experience: (a) 1-2 years of experience working with high school or community college students, particularly in advising, recruitment, or student support roles; (b) demonstrated capacity to serve in an administrative capacity; (c) program development and partner management experience desired.
