Provide academic and clinical instruction for assigned dental courses while developing instructional methods aligned with learning outcomes. Manage student progress through grading, attendance reporting, and maintaining regular office hours.
Adjuncts are hired to teach on a semester basis. Provides academic instruction and student academic support for assigned classes; performs tasks designed to ensure the quality and consistency of academic instruction; develops instructional methods for their assigned course(s) which pertain to the course(s) learning outcomes and course catalog description; adheres to college policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s degree in dental hygiene or dental assisting and a current EFDA certification
2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
Must have Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) Credential
Hiring Range: No less than $1,442 per credit hour/work load rate
Preferred Qualifications: community college teaching experience
Participate in the faculty orientation (initial assignments only) and all required department meetings and trainings. - (Essential)
