Ensures that camp safety regulations for guests and fellow staff members are followed. Regulates aquatic safety regulations for guests and fellow staff members, including providing lifeguard coverage of camp aquatic activities and training staff on pool rules and regulations Conducts checks of aquatics areas and equipment for safety, cleanliness and good repair, including performing pool chemical checks and documentation Facilitates engagement in camp activities by leading activities and assigning responsibilities to participants. Maintains a resort like environment for persons served, other team members and visitors. Inventories assigned activity areas at start and end of summer season. Participates actively in all required camp trainings and meetings, facilitating specific training sessions/meetings when assigned. Facilitates guest choice in activities by providing variety and information on available choices within activities. Qualifications Required: 18 years of age or older required. High School diploma required. Certified Lifeguard by ARC or similar governing body Previous experience utilizing Pool chemicals, aquatic safety equipment and non-motorized watercrafts (i.e., canoes, kayaks, paddleboats, etc.)
