  • Date: August 3, 2026 Position Purpose The Paraprofessional works under the direction of the Head of School and is responsible for assisting certified Student Services staff in ensuring appropriate classroom accommodations are being met per students 504 Plans/IEPs. Job Duties Upholds CECs beliefs found on the CEC website. Assists Exceptional Student Services (ESS) certified staff with monitoring and implementing students accommodations, accurate data collection, and documentation of a students progress towards their learning goals. Works with students individually and in small groups to reinforce and review coursework as requested. Assists students and instructional staff with classroom behavior management to minimize disruptions, ensure a safe and orderly classroom, and ensure students are on task with coursework. Supports special education students by supervising and accompanying them in a variety of settings including safety drills, actual emergencies, field trips, hallways, cafeteria, and common areas as requested enabling students to fully participate in school activities. Participates in the IEP process and serves as resource to MTSS and Mental Health teams as needed. Follows all applicable safety rules, procedures and regulations governing the proper manner of assistance for all students, including those with disabilities or other special needs. Attends meetings and professional development as requested by the Director of Student Services. Other duties as assigned. QualificationsQualifications High School diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience working with special needs children preferred.
