Provide physical therapy services to PreK-12 students, including conducting assessments and developing IEP plans. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and supervise Physical Therapist Assistants to support student mobility and educational access.
Requires a Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy and current state licensure. Candidates should have experience with pediatric populations and the ability to pass background clearance.
Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist APTA membership or national credential preferred Department of Education certification or school-based licensure, when required by the state Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in educational settings Strong understanding of pediatric evaluation methods, treatment planning, therapeutic exercise, and school-based intervention models Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills Comfortable using technology for documentation, scheduling, and service delivery Successful completion of fingerprinting and background clearance requirements Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with educators, administrators, families, and related service providers while maintaining professionalism, discretion, and effective communication Support & Benefits Collaborative support from both the school district and the TheraPeds team Guaranteed paid hours that include time for: Direct student services Documentation and progress reporting Administrative responsibilities Treatment planning and preparation Manageable caseloads designed to support quality care and work-life balance Compensation $70–$90+ per hour, based on experience Estimated weekly earnings of $1,400–$1,800+, depending on schedule and assignment Physical Requirements Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.
