Part Time or Full Time Lead Home Based Treatment Worker/Lead Therapist Needed for our Community Home Therapeutic Services Program!
The CHTS department has a great opportunity for someone who is interested in coordinating the daily running of our life skills clinic between 7 and 10 hours a week. In this role you will also be providing direct instruction and support to children with developmental delays and learning needs for up to 25 hours a week. You will be implementing and monitoring children's treatment plans including working with a child's family. Children are between the ages of 2 and up and have been diagnosed with Autism/PDD.

Essential Functions
- Provision of direct instruction to child, following planned schedule of activities and programs in child's home and community
- Participating in developing child's treatment plan for home-based services, including: input into program planning, preparation of assigned plans for child, and attendance at scheduled team meetings
- Participation in child's six-month progress report
- Participation in developing instructional strategies, methods of evaluating objectives, and behavioral interventions: completing forms describing instructional strategies, preparing and/or obtaining corresponding materials, and preparing intervention descriptions based on team decisions
- Monitoring the progress of assigned clients: recording and evaluating data in a timely manner, completing daily notes, therapy logs, treatment reports as needed, and notifying the Clinical Supervisor of problem area
- Working with child's family to demonstrate instructional strategies and behavioral interventions, providing feedback and training as identified in treatment plan
- Regularly scheduled communication with the child's team through written and verbal means in a professional manner
- Communication in a manner that is audible, legible, and professional
- Intervention with a child who may be exhibiting the behaviors of enuresis, encopresis, ejaculation, spitting, biting, rumination, physical aggression (to self, others or environment), verbal assault, and running
- Intervention with a child to implement behavioral interventions, including physical restraint, lifting, and transporting
- Participation in program analysis activities which may include supervision and written feedback to treatment workers
- Data organization which includes: clearing out old data sheets, keeping client program book and data files up to date, reviewing data collection to check errors, ensure mastery criteria is met properly, and ensure new items are introduced as current items are mastered, and reviewing/collecting behavioral data to chart data, forwarding data to appropriate supervisor, and distributing pertinent forms to address goals
- Curriculum development which includes: determining drill items (in collaboration with the team), moving ahead in the curriculum (in collaboration with the team), individualizing the curriculum to the particular child, developing creative drills, and collecting/preparing creative materials for drills (in collaboration with the team)
- Enhancing generalization by working with the team to develop generalization plans and creating/maintaining a generalization section in the program book
- Assistance in the training of new Home-Based Workers
- Driving a personal vehicle to transport a child to community-based activities. Must have a valid driver's license
Education, Skills & Experience Needed
- Must be 19 years old
- Hold a GED or High School diploma
- Valid driver's license for 3+ years
- Minimum of 2+ years of supervised experience working with children with special health care needs OR; Associate's Degree in Human Service
