Responsible for the supervision and safety of children in various YMCA programs, including planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities. This includes maintaining attendance, communicating with parents, and ensuring adherence to safety and risk management policies.
Candidates must be at least 17 years old with a high school diploma or GED and a passion for working with children. Preferred qualifications include one year of childcare experience and bilingual skills in English and Spanish or Creole.
The Family Services Counselor is responsible for the supervision, and safety of the children in their group (Kids Zone, Club Y, and Summer Camp). Individuals in this position are responsible for assisting with planning, and Implementing programs in accordance with policies, procedures, and philosophy and core values of the YMCA of South Florida.
• First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days of employment
As a condition of employment, you will be required to submit to and satisfactorily clear a thorough Level II fingerprinting background screening.
