Columbia Child Development Program is currently hiring multiple temporary Summer Assistant Educators to support our early childhood classrooms and school-age programs beginning June 8. We are seeking caring, energetic, and dependable individuals who enjoy creating positive experiences for children in a fun, supportive environment.

Position Details

Temporary Summer Employment Full-Time and Part-Time Hours Available between 7:00am-5:30pm Start Date: June 8 Opportunities available in infant, toddler, preschool, and school-age classrooms What You’ll Do Assistant Educators work alongside lead teachers to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. Responsibilities may include: Assisting with classroom activities, play, and learning experiences Supporting children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth Helping maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom Supervising children during indoor and outdoor activities Encouraging positive behavior and teamwork Building positive relationships with children, families, and staff What We’re Looking For Positive attitude and genuine love for working with children Dependable, patient, and team-oriented Ability to communicate effectively with children and coworkers Experience with children preferred, but not required Must meet all required background clearances and employment requirements Why Join Us? Requirements

For an assistant position- A high school diploma or a GED certificate and an associate's degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field- Starting rate $14.73/hour OR a high school diploma or a GED certificate, and 15 credits in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and one year of documented experience with children- Starting rate $13.49/hour OR a high school diploma or GED certificate and two years of documented experience working with children- Starting rate $12.79/hour

For an aide position- A high school diploma or a GED certificate, some experience working with children- Starting rate $10.57/hour
