Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students with communication disorders
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education program (IEP) goals and treatment plans
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students with a range of articulation, language, fluency, voice, and cognitive-communication needs
- Collect and document progress data, prepare progress notes, and communicate findings to case managers and families
- Collaborate with teachers, school psychologists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to support student outcomes
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with school policies and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Ability to work in a school-based setting serving K–12 students and to travel to the assignment location
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, families, and school staff
- Educational background appropriate for Speech Language Pathologist practice (Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology)
- Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Washington or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Typical eligibility to provide school-based services in a public education setting
- Ability to manage multiple cases and maintain accurate documentation
