• Overview Occupational Therapist – School-based (OT) in Thornton, Colorado.

• This is a travel, temporary assignment with orientation to occur July 27–31, followed by reporting to worksites starting August 3 and student start on August 11.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy evaluation and treatment for students across preschool through high school in a school-based setting
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing fine motor skills, handwriting, sensory integration, activities of daily living, and functional participation in classroom activities
• Collaborate with educators, therapists, families, and IEP/504 teams to support student participation and progress toward goals
• Document treatment progress, goals, and outcomes in the district’s charting system, and ensure compliance with relevant policies and standards
• Maintain safety, infection control, and patient privacy; participate in required trainings and meetings
• Complete required clearance activities (fingerprinting) per district policy and agency requirements

Requirements

• Active occupational therapy license in Colorado
• DORA certification
• Ability to obtain Colorado CBI and FBI fingerprint clearance as soon as contract is signed
• No specific years of experience required as listed
• Eligibility to work in the United States and ability to work in a school-based setting
