Position Details

The Opportunity: As the Pediatrics Residency Program Coordinator for Washington State University's Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine in Spokane, WA, you will support and oversee the day-to-day operations of the ACGME residency/fellowship training program and provide collaborative support to ensure continued program accreditation. You will be a key contributor to the Program Director(s), faculty members and Program Administrator in developing and maintaining the educational quality of the training program. Alongside the Program Administrator, you will establish systems and processes to ensure the Graduate Medical Education (GME) training program maintains continued national accreditation and compliance with institutional, local, state, and federal regulatory standards. In this role, you will engage in the implementation of aspects of the multifaceted ACGME requirements for their program. This includes coordinating all on-site events and meetings, serving as the point of contact for the residents and visitors, tracking resident allowance(s) and reimbursements and collaborating with program leadership to ensure that the educational goals of the residency program are met. You will help maintain the resident/fellowship space and serve as point of contact with Sacred Heart Hospital for resident and residency space needs. This requires being knowledgeable about educational and operational activities at the various training sites in which the residents/fellows rotate. This is a 50% FTE (20 hours per week) position, located at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, WA. You will be expected to work an on-site schedule of Monday-Friday 10am-2pm or 9am-1pm. Schedule flexibility may be needed to support pre-planned evening and/or weekend events. The successful candidate will begin as either a Program Assistant or Program Coordinator depending on qualifications and experience. Additional Information

This is a part-time (50% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible. Monthly Salary: Program Assistant: $3,495 - $4,653 | Range 39 | Step A-M Program Coordinator: $3,665 - $4,882 | Range 41 | Step A-M Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28. In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
