We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Long-Term Substitute Teacher to join our school community. Position Overview The Long-Term Substitute Teacher will provide instruction, classroom leadership, and spiritual encouragement while maintaining continuity in student learning and classroom routines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong classroom management skills, a love for children, and a commitment to supporting the mission and values of Christian education. Responsibilities Provide daily instruction in core elementary subjects Follow lesson plans and curriculum provided by the school/classroom teacher Maintain a positive, organized, and Christ-centered classroom environment Foster academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth in students Communicate effectively with administration, staff, and parents as needed Supervise students during classroom activities and school routines Uphold school policies and Christian values at all times About Our School At Christian Unified Schools of San Diego, we partner with students and families to think, learn, and teach from a Biblical worldview. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred Previous teaching or classroom experience preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to manage a classroom effectively and compassionately Agreement with the school’s statement of faith and mission Background check and any required clearances must be completed prior to employment
