- Level: 4 Year DegreeChristian Junior High School, a college preparatory school in the greater San Diego area, is accepting applications for a Junior High Elective Teacher position. The ideal candidate will have experience working with middle school students and a passion for engaging students in meaningful, creative, and hands-on learning experiences through a Biblical worldview. The Junior High Elective Teacher will teach students in grades 7–8 and may instruct a variety of elective courses designed to enrich student learning and encourage creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and personal growth. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about Christian education and is called to encourage students as they grow academically, socially, and spiritually in a Christ-centered environment. QualificationsRequired Bachelor’s Degree Preferred Requirements Profess Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. Believe that the Bible is God’s Word and is authoritative on all matters of which it speaks. Model Christian beliefs, thoughts, and actions toward others including a commitment to

- Biblical standards (Luke 6:40). Endorse and comport with the CUSSD Employee Statement of Faith. Place Christ and His Word at the center of knowledge and learning. Possess spiritual maturity, academic ability, and personal leadership qualities to “train up a child in the way he should go.” Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Education or a related field. Teaching credential preferred (or in the process of acquiring one). Possess or obtain within the first year of CUSSD employment an ACSI temporary teacher certification. Minimum 1–3 years teaching experience preferred. Ability to create a structured, engaging, and encouraging classroom environment for junior high students. Passion for mentoring students and fostering creativity, collaboration, responsibility, and critical thinking skills.
