Are you passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of youth? Choice Counseling Services is looking for a Behavioral Assistant to provide hands-on, community-based support that empowers children and adolescents to thrive in their natural environments.
In this role, you will implement behavioral intervention plans designed to foster emotional regulation, improve social skills, and strengthen family dynamics. We are seeking a dedicated professional who is comfortable working in homes, schools, and community settings to provide real-time coaching and crisis de-escalation.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Implementation
- Deliver direct therapeutic support in homes and community settings, implementing specific interventions outlined in the youth’s individualized treatment plan.
- Case
- Initiation: Conduct initial intake meetings to establish a therapeutic alliance and review rights, responsibilities, and service goals with families.
Documentation
Maintain high standards of clinical record-keeping by completing progress notes in CYBER (Electronic Health Record) within 48 hours of service.
Collaboration
- Actively participate in the Child-Family Team (CFT), collaborating with Care Managers, IIC Therapists, DCP&P, school staff, and other community partners.
- Family
- Engagement: Maintain weekly sessions scheduled during times when families are most receptive to intervention and skills training.
- Professional
- Growth: Attend face-to-face clinical supervision and complete ongoing mandated training via CSOC and agency requirements.
