  • Skills Trainer - Full-Time Full-Time and Part-Time Openings | Kansas City Metro | Community-Based | Non-Exempt | $19.00/hour + Full Benefits for FT Staff CDD is looking for a compassionate, self-directed Skills Trainer to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities build the life skills they need to thrive independently. Working one-on-one in people's homes and out in the community, you will support skill development in areas like budgeting, domestic tasks, and transportation -- helping people live life on their own terms.   • Support individuals in their homes and community with acquiring, building, and maintaining daily living skills.
  • Develop meaningful, individualized implementation strategies based on each person's Person-Centered Plan.
  • Provide transportation as needed to support community networking goals.
  • Document progress in Therap within 24 hours of each activity record completion.
  • Ensure services align with personal outcomes in each individual's support plan.
  • Plan cost-effective travel routes and manage caseload efficiently.
  • Provide companionship, emotional support, and behavioral crisis intervention as needed.
  • Complete all required training and certifications before expiration. What You Bring Required
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and proof of insurance.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass background and registry screening.
  • Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification. Preferred
  • Familiarity with community-based services for individuals with IDD.
