Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic STEM School in Wheat Ridge is seeking a part-time Childcare Aide for its afternoon shift (2:45 pm - 5:30 pm). Qualified candidates must be faith-filled individuals who desire to serve in a Catholic school and are passionate about sharing the faith with young students through living active lifestyles for Christ.
Candidates must pass a background check and attend Safe Environment training. Job duties include following the childcare center rules and regulations, supervising and engaging students in activities, demonstrating strong classroom management skills, providing a kind, safe, and loving environment, and working well with the Preschool team. This position reports to the Preschool/Childcare Director.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the supervision of children during playtime, meals, and educational activities.
- Support in implementing age-appropriate activities and programs.
- Help maintain a clean and organized environment, including play areas and learning materials.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a positive atmosphere.
- Observe and report any concerns regarding children's behavior or development.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities as required.
Skills and Qualifications
- Level II PDIS Certificate preferred.
- Previous experience in childcare or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Basic knowledge of child development principles.
- First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
