Job description
HJ Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Trach Nurse to support a student in a school setting. This position is ideal for a nurse with pediatric experience who is confident in tracheostomy care and is passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive learning environment for children with special medical needs.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care and monitoring for a student with a tracheostomy during the school day. Administer suctioning, emergency care, and medication management as needed. Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to ensure a safe and inclusive environment. Document all care provided in compliance with school and healthcare regulations. Maintain infection control standards and respond calmly in emergency situations
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) license (state-specific). Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; pediatric or school-based nursing preferred. Hands-on experience with tracheostomy care required. CPR and First Aid certification required. Strong communication skills, teamwork, and professionalism.
