Job description
- The EHS Parent Educator provides comprehensive services and home visits to pregnant women, infants, and toddlers.
- The Parent Educator delivers weekly home visits that encourage caregivers to develop and strengthen their skills as primary educator of their child(ren).
- During home visits the Parent Educator provide support and information related to child development, educational activities, community resources, health, and social services.
- Parent Educators also provide similar services to caregivers in a social setting in effort to develop networking skills for caregivers, preschool readiness skills for children and provide a setting for caregivers to model appropriate social interactions.
- Parent Educator will also partner with caregivers to implement a structured Family Partnership Agreement, which is designed to identify needs and assist in creating an action plan to meet them.
- JOB QUALIFICATIONS: PAKEYS Level C – Early Childhood Education Baccalaureate Degree, Baccalaureate Degree in family studies and human development, social work, rehabilitative science, infant and maternal health, or related social services field.
- Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours all year round
