Job Summary

The Group Leader is responsible for delivering direct therapeutic support to children and adolescents through evidence-based interventions, group therapy facilitation, and crisis management strategies. This role plays a pivotal part in maintaining a therapeutic environment, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure the highest quality of care. The position also emphasizes adherence to organizational standards, timely clinical documentation, and active participation in supervision and quality assurance initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Direct Client Services
  • Build and maintain strong, therapeutic rapport with clients
  • Facilitate structured group therapy using evidence-based interventions
  • Implement behavior support plans (BSPs) and crisis management strategies
  • Apply CPI and de-escalation techniques during crisis situations
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
  • Collaboration & Communication
  • Communicate effectively with families, guardians, school personnel, and internal teams
  • Participate in supervision, case consultations, and weekly treatment team meetings
  • Collaborate with partners to meet individual and program goals
  • Quality & Compliance
  • Use data to inform treatment planning and clinical decisions
  • Contribute to meeting quarterly quality and performance targets
  • Maintain compliance with licensure, billing, and professional standards
  • Administrative Responsibilities
  • Complete documentation and billing accurately and on time
  • Update schedules and documentation in Credible
  • Utilize Credible reports to track client outcomes and performance
  • Ensure group spaces are prepared, safe, and stocked

Qualifications

  • Active LSW/LISW/LPC/LPCC licensure in the State of Ohio
  • Master’s degree required
  • Experience in office, school, and/or mental health treatment settings
  • Ability to implement behavior modification strategies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, therapeutic environments with youth
  • Commitment to trauma-informed, client-centered care
