Job description

  • Description The adjunct professor's responsibilities include reviewing and improving syllabi, understanding students' needs, developing and delivering engaging lesson plans, and ensuring the relevant learning resources are available.
  • You should also be able to evaluate student performance and address any issues promptly.
  • This is a part-time, in-person classroom position and is not remote.
  • Employment is on a term-by-term basis.
  • The salary is $4,250 per 3-hour course per semester.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate students in a specific field of expertise Develop and manage the class syllabus and ensure that the syllabus meets program standards. Plan and create lectures, in-class discussions, and assignments Grade assigned papers, quizzes, and exams Maintain and submit accurate grade rosters and class attendance records as required within established course deadlines. Assess grades for students based on participation, performance in class, assignments, and examinations Report student learning outcomes, class reviews, and analyze student data Collaborate with colleagues on course curriculum Advise students on how to be successful and achieve goals Stay updated on innovations and changes within the course field Participate in professional development activities Attend and participate in faculty meetings, as assigned Adhere to Early College standards and policies REPORTS TO/WORK STATUS Dayspring Early College Administrator Part-Time
