- Provides education for the children diagnosed with diabetes and their families both on an inpatient and an outpatient basis.
- Provide patient education on an outpatient basis as needed when seen in clinic.
- Support the Endocrinologists in clinic visits with patients and families ensure the family is comfortbale with the child's meter.
- Educators attend community events as needed to promote the Diabates Center, coordinates with school nurses to ensure they are educated in Diabetes management and serves as a community resource for education and training.
- Primary Location: Downtown - Howard Building Baptist Health’s care for the community spans generations.
