Job description

Description St. Patrick Catholic Preschool is looking for a part-time teacher for our 4-year-old classroom.

Schedule Class is Monday through Thursday or Monday through Friday from 8

15 a.m.-11:15 a.m.

Requirements

  • Essential Job Functions
  • Develop and administer curriculum consistent with the Diocese of Rockford curriculum for preschool programming.
  • Teach Catholic values, prayers, and stories of faith as part of the daily instruction.
  • Promotes a safe and nurturing classroom environment that is conducive to individual and small group instruction.
  • Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and modifies instructional methods to meet the needs of all students.
  • Attend preschool activities and events outside of the classroom hours, as scheduled.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must be a practicing Catholic.
  • Knowledge of preschool curriculum and concepts appropriate to classroom age group.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate work with classroom aide.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to engage in self-evaluation regarding performance and professional growth.
  • Professionalism expected in attire, communication, and demeanor.

Qualifications

  • Illinois State License in the appropriate grade level required.
  • A degree in Early Childhood from an accredited college or university.
  • Will be required to complete the Safe Environment requirements of the Rockford Diocese Virtus Online program.
  • Will be required to complete CPR/First Aid training.
