Assistant Coach – Strength and Conditioning NCAA Division II | Lone Star Conference Athletics Department St. Edward's University invites applications for the position of Assistant Coach – Strength and Conditioning. This position assists with the design, implementation, and oversight of strength and conditioning programs for NCAA Division II student-athletes while supporting athletic performance, injury prevention, and overall student-athlete wellness. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Sports Management, or Exercise Science. Minimum one year of collegiate strength and conditioning coaching experience. Current NSCA-CSCS or CSCCa-SCCC certification (or ability to obtain within six months). Current USAW Level 1 and CPR/AED certifications. Knowledge of NCAA Division II rules and regulations. Valid U.S. Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree Preferred. Additional collegiate strength and conditioning experience. Experience working with multiple sport programs at the NCAA Division II level. Familiarity with performance tracking and strength and conditioning software. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to develop and implement sport-specific training programs. Ability to work collaboratively with coaches, athletic trainers, and administrators. Duties and Responsibilities

Include: Assist with the design and implementation of strength and conditioning programs for varsity teams. Monitor and evaluate student-athlete performance and progress. Provide instruction on proper lifting techniques, conditioning methods, and wellness practices. Assist with daily weight room operations, equipment maintenance, and risk management procedures. Collaborate with coaches and athletic training staff regarding performance and injury modifications. Supervise student workers and interns. Support departmental initiatives, wellness programming, and compliance efforts. Other duties as assigned.
