• Strong candidates will demonstrate: A bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; master's degree strongly preferred Three or more years of successful teaching experience Strong content knowledge in upper-level secondary mathematics A clear Christian commitment and an educational philosophy aligned with the mission of The Stony Brook School Skill in designing rigorous, mission-aligned curriculum, lessons, assessments, and learning materials Experience leading student-centered math instruction, including inquiry-based learning, problem-based lessons, mathematical discussion, and collaborative problem-solving A growth mindset and eagerness to develop as a teacher, mentor, and colleague Excellent oral and written communication skills A collaborative spirit and desire to contribute to a strong departmental team A commitment to Christian scholarship, character formation, and the life of a boarding-school community Life at SBS SBS faculty are active members of a vibrant boarding and day school community.
• Beyond the classroom, full-time faculty typically teach 4–5 classes, lead or assist with 1–2 co-curricular commitments, and participate in the residential life of the school.
• Faculty responsibilities may include coaching athletics, leading clubs or co-curricular programs, supervising evening or weekend activities, chaperoning events, proctoring study halls, supporting community meals, and mentoring students outside the classroom.

Salary Range

$34,397 – $85,000 Final salary will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and role responsibilities.
