- Summary: The Adjunct Faculty Instructor in Philosophy is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in philosophy courses that encourage critical analysis and engagement with foundational philosophical concepts. The instructor will design curriculum, facilitate classroom discussions, assess student learning, and support academic development.
- Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to: Planning and delivering engaging lectures and discussions on various philosophical topics. Developing course materials and assessments that align with program objectives. Encouraging critical thinking and respectful dialogue among students. Evaluating student performance through assignments, exams, and participation. Maintaining accurate records and providing timely feedback. Participating in professional development and adhering to WSU Tech policies and standards.
Education
- Education: Masters degree in Philosophy, Law, Business, or a related field OR a masters degree and 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.

- Skills: Previous teaching experience in philosophy or critical thinking courses at the college or adult education level, preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster an inclusive and dynamic learning environment. Ability to engage students from diverse backgrounds and skill levels. Familiarity with various instructional technologies and willingness to teach in hybrid or online formats.
