- Purpose: Under the general direction of the Behavioral Health Director, the Childcare Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring quality care for children while their parents participate in SCIHP evening group classes. The Childcare Assistant creates a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the children, allowing parents to focus on their therapeutic sessions.
- QualificationsQualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefer college credit in early childhood/elementary education, child development, youth program or related behavioral sciences. CPR
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification. Previous experience in childcare or related fields preferred. Always provides child supervision, attentive care to children. Ensuring safety, comfort, and well-being. Must be patient and can handle various behaviors and emotions. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Excellent communication skills. Provide a warm, caring, professional, creative and positive attitude. Flexibility must have the ability to adapt to changing schedules and children’s needs. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background investigation.
