Supported living coach/Social services – (Adult independent living program)

JARC, located in Boca Raton, empowers adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live full, independent, and meaningful lives. We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and proactive Supported Living Coach to help residents strengthen daily living skills and thrive within their community.

About the Role

As a Supported Living Coach, you will provide hands‑on guidance in areas such as budgeting, grocery shopping, money management, medication oversight, transportation, and navigating community resources. You’ll work closely with residents, families, medical providers, and partner programs to ensure each individual receives comprehensive, person‑centered support. You'll help each individual strengthen skills, increase independence, and connect to employment, resources, and community opportunities. Your work ensures each resident experiences dignity, inclusion, and self-determination.

  • Key responsibilities
  • Teach and reinforce daily living skills including nutrition, grocery shopping, meal preparation, household chores, budgeting, transportation, and community integration.
  • Support residents with medication organization and coordinate all aspects of medical care with providers, pharmacies, and families.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation including daily notes, quarterly updates, and required annual records.
  • Provide counseling, encouragement, and ongoing support to help residents achieve personal goals.
  • Attend and schedule individualized support plan (ISP) meetings annually with each resident.
  • Assist with coordination of benefits such as SSI/SSDI, Medicaid Waiver, and Food Stamps.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with families, guardians, day programs, and employment programs.
  • Promote dignity, independence, and self‑advocacy while ensuring safety and rights protections for all residents.

  • What we're looking for
  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field; 2–4 years of relevant experience required.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • On-call availability for emergencies (24/7 phone access)
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License & clean driving record
  • Availability to work some weekends as needed.
