About the Role
As a Head Teacher at Vivvi Dumbo, you will: Ensure the safety, well-being, and development of preschool-aged children Create engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that inspire curiosity and support each child's individual growth Design and implement thematic curriculum aligned with developmental milestones and children's interests Foster a nurturing classroom environment through positive guidance, responsive caregiving, and meaningful interactions Build strong partnerships with families through ongoing communication and collaboration Mentor and collaborate with teaching team members to maintain excellence in the classroom Closely supervise children and adhere to all health, safety, and licensing requirements Apply Today If You: Love working with young children and believe every child is capable, competent, and full of potential Are passionate about delivering exceptional early childhood education Have 3–5 years of experience as a Lead or Head Teacher in an early childhood setting Hold a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field with New York State Initial or Permanent Certification (Birth-Grade 2 or N-6), OR Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with New York State Initial or Permanent Certification (Birth-Grade 2 or N-6) Value collaboration and build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues Are CPR and First Aid certified, or willing to obtain certification Meet all applicable state and local requirements for employment in an early childhood program

To be considered, applicants must be based in or willing to relocate to New York and possess independent U.S. work authorization. Physical demands of this position include sitting and standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and frequently lifting or moving children weighing up to 50 pounds.
