Louis.Job Summary The Substitute Teacher at St.

Gerard Majella Catholic School provides instructional continuity in the absence of the regular classroom teacher by maintaining a structured, supportive, and engaging learning environment.

This role ensures that lesson plans are followed, student behavior is managed effectively, and academic progress continues while upholding the school’s values and expectations.

Job Responsibilities

Follow lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher to ensure continuity of instruction Maintain a positive, orderly, and respectful classroom environment Supervise students in the classroom, hallways, cafeteria, and other school settings Adapt instruction as needed to meet student needs during the school day Address behavioral issues in accordance with school policies Communicate important information and classroom updates to the regular teacher Ensure student safety and well-being at all times Support school policies, procedures, and Catholic values

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; college coursework or degree in education preferred Experience working with children in an educational setting preferred Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to follow directions and adapt to different classroom environments Dependable, flexible, and professional demeanor Basic instructional and organizational skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with professionalism The Archdiocese of St.
