About the Role
Responsible for enforcing all laws, rules and policies authorized by the Safety and Security Department. Demonstrates on-going commitment to preparing young people for the workforce by modeling, mentoring, and monitoring excellence in the eight Career Success Standards of: workplace relations and ethics; information management; communications; multicultural awareness; personal growth and development; career and personal planning; interpersonal skills and independent living.
Schedules that may be available upon hire
Split shifts, 2nd shift and Overnight shift There is a 10% shift differential for overnight positions. 11:30pm to 8:30am
BONUS
- $2000 Sign-on bonus. $1000 will be paid out on first pay period and $1000 will be paid out at 6 months of employment.
- IMPORTANT: Employees who receive the first installment of the sign-on bonus are required to remain employed for a minimum of six (6) months. Employees who separate from employment before completing six months of service will be required to repay the sign-on bonus received.
- What you'll do Patrol the center to ensure the safety and security of students, staff, visitors, and property.
- Monitor for and respond to disturbances, emergencies, safety hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations.
- Conduct building security checks and enforce center rules, including pass and visitor policies.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and complaints, preparing accurate reports and maintaining security logs.
- Model professionalism, personal responsibility, and strong communication skills while maintaining accountability for safety practices.
- Engage with students and support student activities on center.
Qualifications
Minimum of High School graduate or equivalent. Prefer three to six months experience in a security or work-related capacity. Valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record. Additional Requirements: Preferred knowledge of riot and crowd control techniques and law enforcement procedures. Ability to obtain CPR/FA Certification. Ability to obtain a bus driver’s license. Ability to effectively relate to student population. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Position requires an ability to operate office equipment and drive an automobile. In addition, must be able to interact with team members and maintain an effective working relationship with all facility staff and departments.
