The Career Coach provides individualized guidance to neurodiverse young adults to help them identify career interests, develop workplace skills, and secure meaningful employment. This includes creating resumes, conducting interview prep, and building partnerships with local employers and community organizations.
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in psychology, education, social work, or a related field, with a preference for two years of experience working with neurodiverse individuals. A valid driver's license and at least one year of licensed driving experience are required for transporting students.
Are you looking for a job where your work truly matters, every day is different, and you get to be part of a fun and supportive community?
At College Living Experience (CLE), career development isn't taught through textbooks alone. It happens in job sites, internships, coffee meetings, career fairs, workplaces, volunteer opportunities, and the everyday experiences where students discover their strengths, build confidence, and begin creating their future.
As a Career Coach, you'll help students explore what meaningful employment and independence look like for neurodiverse young adults. You'll guide students as they identify career interests, develop workplace skills, gain real-world experience, and build the confidence needed to navigate life after college.
We are looking for someone with creativity, initiative, and a passion for helping others succeed. Someone who enjoys mentoring, building relationships, and opening doors to new opportunities. Maybe your background is in career counseling, workforce development, job coaching, education, human services, recruiting, or employment services. You understand that every student's path is different and enjoy helping them discover what is possible.
In this role, you'll work one-on-one with students to develop resumes, practice interviewing, explore career options, strengthen workplace skills, explore self-employment or entrepreneurial goals and overcome barriers to employment. You'll also build relationships with local employers, internship sites, and community partners to create opportunities that help students gain experience and achieve their goals.
The ideal candidate enjoys connecting with people, believes in the potential of every student, and is excited to help neurodiverse young adults build fulfilling careers, greater independence, and successful adult lives.
This position is especially rewarding for individuals who enjoy building supportive relationships, solving real-world challenges alongside students, and helping young adults gain confidence as they navigate college and adulthood.
