The Youth Advocate is responsible for supervising and ensuring the safety of adolescents aged 12-18 in a residential group home. Key duties include implementing behavioral support plans, providing daily living skills training, and performing de-escalation interventions.
A High School Diploma or GED is required, with a preference for one year of experience working with adolescents or residential systems like DMH and DCF. Candidates must be able to obtain certifications in CPI, CPR, and first aid, and must be able to drive.

The Youth Advocate (Per Diem )is responsible for supporting and supervising young people during the daily activities in the Weymouth based Teen Group Home.
Driving is required Supervise and maintain the safety of adolescents between the ages of (12-18) in the program Supports youth with developing daily living skills Provide per diem shift coverage Deliver services in a culturally competent manner Implement as required interventions associated with treatment and service plan goals Participates in de-escalation and physical interventions of youth when required Implements and adheres to the behavioral support system of the program Acts as a positive role model for youth and coworkers, treating them with respect, dignity, understanding and fairness On the rare occasion due to staffing needs, you may be asked to work your scheduled shift at any of the four residential programs in Quincy, Weymouth, Hingham or Plymouth.
Qualifications/Credentials: High School Diploma or GED required 1 year experience working with adolescents is preferred (not required) Residential experience preferred Experience with systems (e.g. DMH, DCF) preferred Additional languages desirable, though not required Able to learn, carry out and be certified in CPI physical interventions, and de-escalation techniques Able to learn, carry out and be certified in CPR and first aid Bay State Community Services is an equal opportunity employer.
