Design and implement student-centered lessons for Grade 1 students while maintaining records of progress and communicating with families. Collaborate with faculty and the DEI office to integrate multiculturalism and social-emotional learning into the curriculum.
A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's degree and 3-5 years of elementary teaching experience preferred. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, along with the ability to meet specific physical requirements for campus supervision.
● Design, plan, and implement student-centered lessons that demonstrate a deep understanding of the academic discipline, curriculum, instruction, child development, and best practices, aligned with the goals and mission of The Park School ● Update documentation of current curriculum, instruction, and assessment ● Maintain records of individual student progress and achievement ● Regularly communicate with families about classroom happenings and student progress ● Complete administrative tasks and duties (ex: lunch, recess, carpool) as assigned (student supervision, attendance, reporting, documenting curriculum, etc.) ● Establish and implement expectations for student safety and conduct; and procedures and routines, consistent with Park School policies ● Participate in the school community and in all school activities, including faculty and committee work, school duties, and activities such as clubs and assemblies (e.g., Grandparents & Special Friends Day, Yule festival, May Day etc.). ● Meaningfully integrate technologies into class lessons, for online learning as well as in school learning ● Guide students in their social-emotional development, maintaining expectations and support for positive and productive student behavior ● Collaborate with the office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging to keep multiculturalism and diversity as a priority of curricular work and curriculum development
● Participate in and contribute to an adult learning community by engaging in meetings, discussions, committees, task forces, and professional development. ● Ensure that respect for diversity, equity, and inclusion, social-emotional learning, and academic excellence are emphasized as core values of Park ● Meet expectations as defined by the Park School Employee Essential Expectations

Actual salaries will vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to degrees received, years of lead teaching experience, and other considerations permitted by law.
