What you can expect as an Administrative Assistant, Lower School Perkins is seeking a highly organized, welcoming Administrative Assistant to manage the front office and provide vital administrative support for our Lower School.
In this role, you will be the central hub of our Lower School - fielding day-to-day questions from students, staff, and families , ensuring daily school operations run smoothly.
Under the supervision of the Education Director or Assistant Education Director, you will handle everything from clerical functions and report preparation to managing small-scale projects with discretion and care.
Lower School Office Management: Greet scheduled visitors, answer and route program telephone calls, and manage incoming/outgoing physical and electronic mail.
Student & Staff Support: Act as the primary point of contact to assist Lower School students and department staff with daily questions and needs.
Clerical & Document Support: Plan and perform a wide variety of administrative duties.
Prepare correspondence, forms, requisitions, flyers, and notices for Lower School activities from brief verbal or written instructions.
Calendar & Meeting Coordination: Maintain the department calendar, support coordinate supervisor schedules, arrange internal and external meetings and reserve/prepare facilities for events .
Information & File Management: Disseminate information regarding program policies, procedures, and regulations.
Locate, attach, and manage electronic files.
Support our continued effort to phase out physical files (including scanning, copying, and filing) while maintaining strict confidentiality on sensitive student matters.
Logistics & Supplies: Order and maintain building supplies while preparing and processing monthly school credit card and expense documentation.

The following shared salary range is what Perkins reasonably expects, in good faith, to pay for the position.
